HELLO. It’s December 1st which means it’s time for BLOGMAS/VLOGMAS. Yes, all caps was very much necessary. You might be wondering:
What is blogmas?
Vlogmas/Blogmas {life is hard} is where your favorite bloggers and vloggers publish new content, usually holiday related, every single day of December leading up to Christmas! #punny So, your girl is very insanely busy right now and does not have the time between five finals and the remaining week of tests, homework, and quizzes to have quality posts completed for every single day leading up to one of my favorite days of the year. Don’t fret though: I will be doing Blogmas Light{coming to ya every Wednesday and Friday!} this year and hopefully will be more prepared next year to tackle all 25 posts. You can also get excited for a vlog to be posted once finals are over and I am shopping the days away looking for last minute Christmas gifts– It’s fine, everything is FINE.
To get excited for the new holiday season [like I haven’t been listening to Mistletoe x J.B. Since Nov 1], I decided to create a holiday tag- namely for other bloggers to participate in (hint hint for all you gals struggling to fill all 25 days)! Honestly this is going to be fun even if no one else participates– nervous laughter in my head while writing this tbh. So here are some other lovely bloggers who I would like to tag to do this post at some point in the next 25 days! YAY

To my lovely ladies above, please share your posts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. I would love to see all your answers! So if you’re interested in all my favorite holiday trends, fashion, and traditions; keep reading!
1. When is an acceptable date to play Christmas music?
NOVEMBER 1. Truth be told: I can bop to Fa La La anytime of the year. I love cleaning, driving, existing to the Christmas Pop playlist on Spotify!
2. All time Favorite Christmas album?
While Bublé and Biebs round out my top 3, I have to say my all time favorite Christmas album is Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas Album. I can listen to this album without skipping a single track. Old School Mariah please come back, thank you.
3. How do you spend Christmas morning?
AH YES. Now, that my brother and I are a much older; the family usually attends midnight Christmas mass and then we fall fast asleep– not really because I’m still 5 years old and can’t wait to find out what Santa got me. You thought I was kidding, ha.
My brother will run around the house waiting for my parents to get up at around 5:30-6 am. {I said we were older though, right?} My mom makes us change into acceptable clothing like matching Pajama sets or sweaters so that she can take a multitude of pictures. The blogger in me approves.
A fam selfie is probably taken:
We’ll take turns opening presents while listening to music and laughing at how fast my brother can unwrap a gift. My dad will usually start fixing breakfast towards the end of the gift giving and opening which if he loves me {aka he does} will consist of pancakes and bacon. Even though it’s almost always 60+ degrees on Christmas, someone is always drinking hot chocolate which is also very #holiday.
4. What’s a new Christmas tradition you want to start doing?
Christmas Eve Brunch. Surprise, right? I’d love to make this a tradition with all my good girlfriends. Right now, it’d be something I do with friends when I come home from a semester at college, but eventually would be something I do with friends wherever I end up in college. A mimosa and french toast is a pretty good way to start off the holiday madness, right?
5. What is your favorite baked good around Christmas time?
I basically have the world’s largest sweet tooth, so I don’t discriminate against any holiday sweets. They are too easy to use as holiday gifts- more on that to come in future posts. I would definitely say I always have pretty photogenic treats. Here are some of my favorites from the past! Last year, Hannah and I made these delicious Peppermint Mocha cupcakes-aka me in a cupcake. Peep the chocolate covered Oreos too!
6. What’s on your Christmas wishlist {condensed version}?
Rose Gold Beats headphones, Amazon Echo Dot. Those are the two big things and then I always like pajamas, socks, and gift cards for my stocking!
7. Favorite Christmas Candle Scent?
I would say my all time favorite Christmas candle is anything scented like gingerbread men. I wouldn’t discriminate earlier, but the gingerbread men that my mom and I make from Pillsbury dough are so soft and warm and perfect and honestly I am a fan. Bath and Body Works made my all time favorite one a couple of years back!
8. What is your ideal Secret Santa gift?
I’m pretty easy as a Secret Santa, the perfect gift would probably be a $5 Starbucks gift card with some face masks and a nail polish! You can find me any calm Sunday with a latte with a funny looking mud mask on painting my nails. Man I wish I were doing that right now.
9. When is your ideal gift shopping time?
I’d like to say super early in December, and maybe even Black Friday/Cyber Monday, but I tend to buy gifts pretty late. Now that finals are smack dab in the middle of December, I usually don’t shop until I get home the last week before Christmas. It’s worked the past two years so I don’t see this changing anytime soon.
10. A picture that reminds you of Christmas.
11. How do you like to decorate your house, apartment, room?
Less is more for this department. I’m not very stationary for the holiday season anymore, but I loved my fully decorated downstairs when I was still living at home. In my apartment, I have a Christmas candle burning and a mini [I say mini but it’s actually 4 ft tall] Christmas tree decorated to match my room. that pretty much does it for me. There will be a whole vlog on our Youtube channel of me decorating the tree!
12. What is your favorite Christmas activity?
I love going to see Christmas lights. The botanical gardens in my hometown usually have a Christmas light show that is spectacular! You can drive around in your car which is nice when it’s super cold outside! I don’t have any pictures of it because I typically like to take it all in with a nice warm cup of hot cocoa. But seriously, one of my favorite things!
13. What is your favorite thing about Christmas time?
I love the energy! I feel like there is a different holiday spirit that flows through everyone around this time of the year. Even when college gets rough, I can always play some Christmas music, wrap some gifts, and instantly feel better! It’s also really nice to have so much family time. I am away from my parents and brother for a good majority of the year. In 2016, it was like 11/12 months were spent away from home. It’s nice to have that independence, and it makes the holidays even more special!
I hope this got you super pumped for the holiday season and for all your bloggers to spend most of December excited about Christmas and all the blogger-y things that we get to do during the season! I hope everyone enjoyed this post as much as I loved doing it!
