One of the hallmarks of “influencing” is getting PR gifting from brands. I am truly blessed to have received packages from some of my favorite brands across industries (beauty, food/beverage, and fashion). At this point, I can be pretty selective of what PR I even end up accepting. My apartment is tiny and realistically there’s only so many serums and hair tools I can try in any given time period. I’ve been really trying to figure out how I can better spotlight PR that I actually love and even end up repurchasing. So, let’s get into it!
Beauty
The Ami Colé Lip Treatment Oil is by far one of the best lip products I’ve ever used. It’s the most gorgeous natural lip color and super moisturizing (perfect for winter). My only complaint with Ami Colé is that I can’t buy it in person at any of my usual beauty retailers and shipping isn’t free! Here’s a $10 off coupon for your first order!
Flamingo is another one of my favorite PR packages I’ve received. They are always a surprise (lol) and they always stock us up with an assortment of products and refills. The Foaming Shave Gel is my favorite for sure, but I also pick up razor blade replacements frequently from Target.
I received the Nars Climax mascara very early on in my influencer “career” when I was doing a collaboration with Ulta Beauty and College Fashion Week. It is by far one of my favorite mascaras of all time. It used to be my go to mascara for months and months before the pandemic. It’s a little bit pricey which is why I didn’t really reach for it once we went into shutdown in 2020. It’s been sitting in my cart at Sephora for a couple weeks now!
I feel like I am consistently talking about the Merit Flush Balm and it is also one of the products I’ve purchased again and again. I’m not a big risk taker when it comes to complexion products, but I love the rich, plum color that mood brings to my face. I feel like it warms and livens my whole face. I’ve been wanting to try some of their other shades recently. I have my eye on Terracotta for a warmer golden vibe!
Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Body Mists
I feel like this one is kind of embarrassing, but I really fell in love with the Victoria’s Secret Body Mists after I went to their event in the spring. The body mist version of the OG Bombshell scent was so good that I also had to get it in the scent Seduction. I love spritzing these on after my nightly shower. So good!
Lifestyle
I have so much new found love for CORA and I’m so happy I was introduced to their line of period products. Recently, I’ve become a big fan of their pads and tampons. I feel more comfortable using pads at night because I am irrationally (rationally, idk) afraid of Toxic Shock Syndrome. And, it’s so nice that they feel like clouds. 11/10 would recommend and you can shop them at a range of retailers like CVS and Target and from their website!
Mrs. Meyer’s Cleaning Products
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day products can also be found throughout my household. I’m a big fan of their hand soaps and multi-purpose cleaning sprays. I love that the scents linger after you use their products. I’m a big fan of the basic Lavender scent and the Lemon Verbena scent is nice for use in the kitchen.
I’ve recently become a big reader and I love shopping from independent booksellers! My favorite IRL bookstores in the city are McNally Jackson and The Strand, but I also love the online bookseller Folio Bookshop. They are a super cool modern and women-owned business with the most beautiful branding. If you love exquisitely wrapped happy mail, you’ll love Folio.
I literally can’t believe I’m still dealing with acne at my big age of 26, but here we are. I’ve tried a bunch of different acne stickers and Hero Cosmetics are my favorite. I like that they are no show and I find that they are super effective when it comes to reducing size and redness of your pesky zits. They are a little bit pricey, but I think the original Mighty Patches are the best bang for your buck.
The megababe thigh rescue is truly a summertime essential. I truly don’t know what I would do in the summer without this stuff. I’m going to see if it works with tights too!
Otherland candles are so potent, one candle could probably work for an entire house. Their current fall line is exquisite specifically Velvet Persimmon. I stocked up on an additional candle so that I can have on for next year. I wouldn’t complain if they made it a recurrent scent!
Food + Beverage
Dunkin’ Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
Dunkin’ gave me a gift card to try “The Charli” and I’ll do anything once. Not actually, but you get it. I have to say it was a little bit sweet, but overall it made me a convert when it comes to Dunkin’ cold brew. Fall means all things pumpkin and I can get behind the Dunkin’ Pumpkin Cream cold brew!
Oddly, NYC has a huge market for chocolate chip cookies. I have to make a case for the Chip City S’mores cookie. I mean!! Rockefeller Center had me shoot some sponsored content and I just happened to pop into Chip City and I have to say it was one of the best cookies I’ve ever had!!!!! My new favorite place to take guests and they’ve opened a couple new locations across the city which is incredible.
