Hello friends! We’re back with the second edition of The Weekly: a collection of anecdotes, reviews, and recommendations. It’s finally fall and I’m feeling it! Let’s dig in to my top moments from the week.
1 | The temperatures have rapidly dropped here in New York City and there’s nothing like a crisp fall chill to brighten my mood. My fall shopping list is also growing by the minute. I’ve got my eye on these leather pants from Abercrombie, this oversized blazer from djerf avenue, and this turtleneck sweater from gap.
2 | Crisp, fall nights call for a warm cup of tea, freshly baked cookies, and your favorite TV show. Emmy award winning Abbott Elementary is back for season 2! 11/10 would recommend. I also finally bit the bullet and subscribed to showtime so I could watch yellowjackets. If you liked The Wilds on Amazon Prime (rip), I think you’ll love this one as well.
3 | I am a YouTube girly at heart and I was so honored to see that I was mentioned in Maddy’s video last week about personal style and fatness. I 100% agree that you don’t need to lose weight to [start to] wear what you want. Her videos always feel like you’re on Facetime with a friend and she’s hilarious. Go check it out!
4 | I’m also a reader and currently chugging through The Siren by Katherine St. John. It’s giving Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I’m a big fan so far. The drama is piping! I also shared everything I read in the first half of this year on the blog last week. If you’re in the city and haven’t already signed up for a library card do it! You will not regret!
The Yeehaw Agenda
5 | The yeehaw agenda is as strong as ever and western-style clothing and accessories continue to make a splash with the fashion-forward. I recently picked out these Dolce Vita cowboy boots. Typically, I would have gone with a single shade option, but the white and black detailing on these leans into the statement factor of the boot. As always, DV makes a comfortable and stylish shoe.
6 | I had the pleasure of attending Native’s Fall Collection press dinner at Blackbarn this week. Cabin in the City was the theme of the night and they did not disappoint. Cashmere and Rain is by far my favorite scent and will be the perfect addition to my fall body product line up.
I Love Rosemary’s
7 | Rosemary’s is till one of my favorite restaurants in the city. A few friends and I met up for happy hour at their Eastside location. The $9 Rosemary Spritz and a margherita burrata pizza never disappoints.
8 | I am officially back in my blogger era. I know video has the PR world by the balls at the moment. But, imho, there is no better place to talk about all my favorite things than right here on my blog. Excited to get back into writing regularly!
9 | As the temperatures drop, I have my eye on some fall favorite recipes. I typically bounce between NYT Cooking and Half Baked Harvest, but I’m always looking for chefs/food creators to follow on social. If you have any favorites, let me know! Last year, this white chicken chili was my holy grail and this pasta alla vodka was heavenly. I’ll probably make this chocolate chunk chai banana bread this weekend!!
10 | I am itching to buy a new designer bag. But, I’m also going on an exciting trip next year and I might just wait until then to buy it since it’ll be cheaper (major hint)! YSL bags are right up my alley and I’m between the le 5 á 7 in the black crocodile embossed shiny leather and the medium solferino in pistache.
That’s all for this week! Be sure to follow me on Instagram and TikTok for daily updates and content.
