Today is Black Friday. It’s become a huge shopping event in the US and always brings such stark contrast with the day of thanks that precedes it. But, the holidays are also the time of giving and the truth of the matter is: Black Friday and Cyber Monday bring some of the best sales of the season. This means you can score major deals on gifts for your family, friends, co-workers, etc.
To make this post more about me {I’m a Leo, it’s just the way it is}, I’m also going to be sharing my Christmas wishlist. The keyword is WISHlist. I always find these posts helpful when I couldn’t figure out what to ask for. I have things from a whole range of retailers and at a wide range of prices.
I haven’t shared a gift guide in a hot minute because frankly, I don’t think they’re really that useful. But, in case you find them interesting or are looking for some new ideas, I’m sharing some easy-to-shop, clickable guides. I think we’ve all exhausted the Bath and Body Works Candle and Starbucks gift card combo of high school.
This post contains affiliate links which means I’ll make a small commission when you shop through my links. Always thankful for the support.
ALSO, if you’ll be making any purchases online, be sure to download the Honey and Rakuten shopping plugins. Honey checks the web to see if there are any applicable sales or codes to use. Rakuten will get you cashback on purchases from most retailers.
What I’d Like To Get For Christmas: My Christmas Wishlist
MacBook Pro 16″
I’m currently working from my childhood Virginia home on my 6-year-old laptop. This bad boy got me through college lab reports, term papers, and graduate school applications. I’ve edited thousands of images and designed my new blog branding. My Macbook Pro has served me well. I’m afraid it may be close to the end of the road for this computer. I’d love to get my hands on the newest generation of portable computers from Apple. Although, the lack of USB ports and other inputs will probably drive me insane. I think it’s time to invest in a new laptop.
Away Bigger Carry On
You all know that I love my Calpak marble suitcases. They’ve been all over the world with me and I really do think they are great. However, I recently ran into issues with the carry on size and I think I want to try something new. I see the Away brand of suitcases everywhere. LaGuardia, Penn Station, and JFK are always buzzing with them. One of my favorite content creators, Tar Mar, always raves about their luggage. So, naturally, being influenced, I want to try them too. I personally have my eyes on the black Bigger Carry On with the rechargeable battery.
Bose QuietComfort Headphones
You also know that I love my AirPods. Seriously, if you don’t have a pair yet, you won’t regret it. But, I do a lot of video editing and binge-watching. I think a comfortable pair of over the ear headphones are necessary to really enjoy both experiences. I had a pair of Beats headphones in college but one bad drop and they were out for the count. I’m very interested in trying a pair of Bose Headphones. The all-black Quiet Comfort Edition looks like just what I need.
Hamilton NYC Tickets
I’m also a big fan of gifting or rather, receiving, experiences. I’d love a Mezzanine ticket to the forever popular Hamilton musical on Broadway. I think I’ve listened to the soundtrack a bazillion times and I’m already a huge fan of period pieces. So, I just know I would be living my best life if I had the chance to see this show in person sometime soon. I enter the Hamilton lottery pretty much every time I get a chance and have never gotten lucky enough to win. So, someone {Hi Mom & Dad} please buy me this.
Chanel Gabrielle Perfume
My Viva La Juicy perfume will forever be by my summer scent of choice. It’s youthful, fruity, and fun. However, I want something that fits a more sophisticated vibe but still maintains a playful vibe. My friend, Hannah, has the Chanel Gabrielle perfume and it smells so good. I’m a big fan of travel-sized perfumes and rollerballs. They’re easy to travel with and to bring along for touch-ups. I also think perfume and scents are great to buy during the holiday season because of all the fun sets and bonuses at the major department stores.
Nike TR9 Icons
One of my character flaws is that I wear my clothes, shoes, and accessories until they have holes, instabilities, or are just genuinely not wearable anymore. It’s really time for me to get some new gym trainers. I always buy Nike because I’m basic. But, they work for me and so I’ll probably keep getting them. I love the look of the TR9 Icons and my sneaker game really has to be stepped up with the NYC gym crowd.
Madewell Slim Fit Wide-Leg Crops
These are officially my favorite jeans to date. I want them in every color. The button-up front of these is fun. I’m basically just waiting until they come back in stock in my size and then these bad boys are all mine. If you donate an old pair of jeans to Madewell, you’ll get a little $20 off coupon to use too.
Ole Henriksen Dark Spot Toner
I used the travel size of this toner for a minute from Sephora and I fell in love with it. I’ve been wanting to buy the full size, but it’s so expensive. I think skincare and makeup products are so easy to buy for people and you know they’ll use it. I’d also love to get the Fenty Pro Filt’r Concealer, Fenty Glow Lip Gloss and the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. The reviews on all of these products are good and I want them.
Mejuri Leo Necklace
I have one piece of gifted Mejuri jewelry [the Boyfriend Hoops are premium so you should check them out]. I love the dainty aesthetic of Mejuri pieces, but find them a bit overpriced. Full disclosure: I’d probably not buy anything with my own money. But, I think all their pieces make good gifts for others. I think the pendant zodiac necklaces are super cute and I’d love to get my hands on one.
Casetify iPhone Case
I get so many compliments on my floral Casetify case and I really want one that’s funky and urban. Casetify has so many commission artists that are killing that genre. The Impact Case is great quality. I rarely drop my phone, but when I due I drop it with full force and frankly, my phone should probably be completely shattered at least 2 times over. Nothing a good case and screen protector can’t prevent though. Phone cases are an easy way to mix it up.
Anthropologie Tile Mug & Coasters
I love an Anthropologie trinket. The tile mugs and coasters are some of the cutest things I’ve seen this season. The popular letters always sell out fast and I always regret not buying them after the fact. These make really good gifts because they carry the aesthetic and quality of Anthropologie without the hiked up price tag.
What Alice Forgot x Liane Moriarty
I’ve been wanting to read more. But, the last time I was reading for fun, I was still picking out books in the YA section. I want to evolve out of dystopian teen literature and into something that I actually relate to. Liane Moriarty has written so many best selling books and I want to get my hands on one of her books. What Alice Forgot has gotten a lot of high marks from my book-loving blog friends. This would make a really good travel companion and stocking stuffer.

Fun Giftables for Everyone!
I really wanted to experiment with my ability to create clickable graphics for the blog, so my gift guides were born. Happy {smart} shopping and gifting! I’m so pumped for the holiday season!
