I am so happy to finally be typing a new blog post and if you’ve been around here for a while you know that the site looks a little bit different [more on that in a future post coming soon]. But, I am super pumped to be writing new content instead of playing with random website technical details. Today’s post is all about one of the happiest days of the year: Christmas! iPhone XR
I wasn’t really sure how different or cutting edge this phone would be but I am so glad that I got to pick this one out for my phone upgrade and partial Christmas gift from my parents. It’s seriously such an upgrade from my iPhone 6s. Technically, I scored this guy over the Thanksgiving weekend so I got to enjoy it a couple weeks early! The white glass back of the phone is so pretty.
Chi x Ulta Beauty Hairstyling Iron
I’ve had the same Target straightner for at least 6 years now and it was time for an upgrade. Everyone has raved about the Chi so I made sure to have this one on my list of random things for my brother to pick from. He did so well. It’s the 1 inch Chi Hairstyling iron and I can’t wait to try it.
Black Hunter Boots
There was a random Hunter Boot craze when I was in high school and I decided to buy the tall matte green Hunter boots. Don’t get me wrong, you can make some beautiful outfits with them and your feet will be dry. As a short person, I find them to be kind of hard to walk in and I bought a size too big. So, the short glossy black Hunter Boots have been on my radar for months and I’m so glad I didn’t have to pull the trigger on them myself.
Ember Mug
The Ember mug allows you to control the temperature of your drink. I first saw these on one of Jeanine Amapola’s vlogs and I knew I had to have it. My coffee always gets cold when I’m working on my computer and it would be nice to have something that could control the temperature so it’s nice a warm for the entire time I’m drinking it. I love random gadgets like this and I’m so glad I asked for this at some point and that my mom remembered! It also comes in black!
H&M Turtleneck
I can’t find my exact sweater on the website, but there are so many options at H&M and they have such great quality. I’ve linked a similar one here. Turtlenecks are going to be my saving grace this winter and I love that I have moved past my silly resistance to them.
Cold Weather Accessories
Old Navy has super affordable cold weather accessories including the cutest fuzzy socks [these ones have polar bears on them]. I also own like zero pairs of gloves and I’m very relieved that I found these in my stocking. The striped black and white ones are my favorite.
From My Blogger Secret Santa
My Blogger Secret Santa this year was Caitlyn Stone! It was so fun to find out that she had shopped for me. I met her just a couple weeks ago when she came to visit Katrina in NYC. I vlogged the day we spent exploring all over NYC so you can check that out too. If you’re new around here, you should probably know that I am a marble addict. My laptop case is marble, my suitcases are marble, and I love a good marble accent. So, you just know that I was so excited to see that Caitlyn picked out the cutest marble case for my iPhone. Here’s a similar one here.
I have actually heard a lot of good things about the Que Bella face masks and so I am super excited to try these out for myself. Caitlyn picked up the coffee scrub and papaya face masks and I can’t wait to try! Lastly, she picked up the SpaLife Anti-Aging Collagen GOLD Face Mask! A GOLD face mask?! I’m so pumped.
MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation
I think I’ve raved about this foundation so much and I can’t tell you enough how much I love it. It gives the easiest airbrush finish and is literally the best thing ever, since sliced bread or something. I’m shade NW43 and MAC is now sold in Ulta beauty stores and they can help you find your shade no problem!
Travel USB Charger + Universal Adapter
Hannah and I are going on a trip in 2019 and this is a huge hint about the destination. Okay, so maybe a very small hint, but a little teaser is better than nothing! Any guesses on where you think we’re going? This was such a great gift idea and the carrying case is so CUTE.
Anthropologie Mini Candles
I love a good candle and the ones from Anthropologie match my new room in NYC so perfectly. They also smell absolutely divine. The Voluspa Mokara scent is so clean and would make the perfect kitchen/bathroom scent. The Volcano candle smells so dang good and I’m obsessed with it.

So, I had an incredible Christmas! But, what made it so special was being able to come home for the holidays. I don’t see my parents and brother a lot during the year now that I’m supposedly an adult living in a completely different city. It’s v nice to be able to come back to my hometown and drive my car, listen to the tunes on high volume, spend too much money at suburban Target, and drink lots of sweet tea. LOL. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and let’s get ready for a kick-ass new year.
