What’s the Roast: #AskGabby Vol. II

This post is sponsored by Dunkin’ and Her Campus Media. All opinions are 100% my own.

Every couple of weeks I bring around the What’s the Roast post. This week’s theme is #AskGabby round 2. Y’all really delivered when I asked for questions, so I’ll get to as many of them as I can in this post before I hit 1,000 words. Are you somehow not following me on Instagram? Well, you seriously should be. I love curating a fun feed and story content for y’all and it’s an easy way to stay up to date on everything happening on the day to day. Go give me a follow ASAP here.

I’d like to start off by saying that this week’s What’s the Roast post is a sponsored post. Get this… it’s sponsored by Dunkin’. We all know that I raved about Dunkin’ iced coffee all spring and summer long. I was also a regular customer when Chapel Hill built a Dunkin’ while I was a student there. SO you can imagine how pumped I was to be invited to their Friendsgiving event last week. It was a blast celebrating the launch of their new line of espresso drinks.

Y’all. At the launch, I tried one of the new lattes and it was unexpectedly DELICIOUS. This one of their key marketing phrases and let me tell you it is so on point. Dunkin’ has got their head in the espresso game and I’m so happy! If you didn’t know Dunkin’ recently shortened their name and have started remodeling locations here in NYC to reflect that.

When the new line of lattes and cappuccinos launched this week, I knew that I wanted to get a snap of the new orange cups in front of the new storefront logo. Overall, the new drinks are smooth, creamy, full of flavor and still that inexpensive Dunkin’ product that you love!

Q: Where do you buy pants??? I am a curvy gal and always have trouble finding pants!

A: Girl!! I feel you. Pretty much every single pair of pants I have now are from Old Navy. I love the Pixie pants; they feel like the business casual appropriate version of leggings. I also love the Power Jean style and the High Rise Rockstar jean which I’m wearing in the black version in today’s look. I’ve also loved American Eagle, Forever 21, and Merona at Target in the past!

Q: Was it hard to find housing in NYC? Your room is so cute!

A: WOW. Thank you, love. I actually cheated a tad bit and my housing is set up through my graduate school program. It was incredibly nice to have it set up this way especially moving to NYC from multiple states away. Overall, I think it can be a pretty stressful process, but all my friends have figured it out either way.

Q: Will you be going Black Friday shopping? If so, where?

A: I am 100% a Cyber Monday gal. I plan to start gift shopping during Cyber Week this year. My favorite places to online shop, in general, are Amazon, Boohoo, Asos, Target, and Old Navy.

For those of you looking to shop Black Friday deals, these are some good ones to check out!

  • Boohoo: 60% off Everything
  • Nastygal: 60% off Everything
  • Urban Outfitters: BOGO 50% off – starts today 11/21!
  • QUAY: Cyber Monday – 25% off with BRIGHT25

Q: Which coffee drink do you like?

A: I don’t discriminate! In the warmer times of the year, you can almost always find a vanilla iced coffee in my hand. During the colder months, I still occasionally gravitate towards an iced coffee. Most of the time, though, I find myself ordering Caramel Macchiatos and Vanilla Lattes. I have no doubt that I will find myself ordering the Dunkin’ mocha latte over and over again as well.

Q: How do you like the Big Apple?

A: I love that there’s an infinite amount of things to explore and so many people to connect with. I also love that the city has pretty much every store you could think of. It’s very convenient. I’m not so much a fan of how long it takes to get literally anywhere. It’s a process just to get groceries. Even with all the negatives I could think of, NYC is still the best city in the world.
