2018 is going to be a year full of traveling which has inspired me to share my travel bucket list. I also figured that I would help illustrate these places by sharing some travel guides from some of my favorite travel bloggers. I mean they have the prettiest pictures and the BEST suggestions for trips all around the globe; why wouldn’t I share? If you don’t have the travel bug, then get ready to catch it because these locations are absolutely stunning.
Be sure to follow along with our travels throughout the year by following the hashtag #theswirltravels on Instagram. Apparently, allowing us to follow hashtags on Instagram was more of a priority than reinstating a chronological order. I’m not salty; you’re salty. I’m headed to New Orleans in 4 days to visit with family and explore the city. I’m ready for all the food and good times! Anyway, Here’s my travel wishlist!
1. Nashville, TN
via Sara Belle
I’ll actually be visiting Nashville in February and I am so excited. Everyone has told me that I’ll love this city. From all the beautiful pictures that I’ve seen, I think I’ll love it too. Now, we just need to do something about all that country music.
2. Seattle, WA
Yes, we all know that I was obsessed with Starbucks. Clearly, that means Seattle must be on the list. I have a thing for the west coast ever since California this past summer and I’d love to head up to the Pacific Northwest and have a look around. Meredith Gray would also want me to visit the rainy city too.
3. Barcelona, Spain
via A Pair & A Spare
I am a Cheetah Girl at heart and this would definitely have to be my top destination to visit in Europe. From the art and culture to the breathtaking architecture, I would die from the gorgeousness. Someone, please get me here as soon as possible.
4. Maui, Hawaii
I think this would just be a super fun girl’s trip [when I’m 27 and have that cash just sitting around] or family trip! This blog post especially makes everything look beautiful. After the incredible Hawaii vlogs that Jeanine Amapola shared; this has been on my bucket list!
5. Marrakesh, Morocco
via Ohh Couture
Morocco looks absolutely stunning and I’d love to learn more about the culture of this region before planning a trip here. The pictures make it look like a dream, and I’ve had several friends take trips here during study abroad and have loved it! International travel would definitely take me here eventually!
6. Austin, TX
Austin, TX seems to be the super trendy and cool city in Texas and I have been dying to get here for quite some time. I’d love to hit up ACL or SXSW as well. Also, as a mural queen, I think that this city was made for me. I will definitely get here soon especially if I end up moving to Texas.
7. San Francisco, CA
I’m partially biased to loving SoCal, but literally every person who has visited the Bay Area cannot stop talking about it. There are so many iconic landmarks here that I just want to go and see them in person. I love that feeling when you can see an iconic statue, item, or place in person. From The Painted Ladies to the Hilly Streets to the Golden Gate Bridge, I would love to see all these iconic places in person.
8. Sydney, Australia
via Make Time to See the World
Quite frankly, Dance Academy [one of the best shows on Netflix, @ me and we can discuss] has gotten me really into the idea of visiting Sydney. Honestly, if you make the trip down under; I feel like you would want to give several places on the continent a visit. I’d love to dedicate a whole, huge trip to conquer a ton of Australia in one go.
9. London, England
via The Belle Voyage
Hannah spent 8 weeks in London two summers ago and I have wanted to visit after seeing all of her photos. One of my good friends is spending quite a bit of time in London in the coming years and maybe I’ll bite the bullet and buy a ticket to visit. Also, obsessed with The Crown and bingeing season 2. Can we just talk about how dark and gritty and wonderful that show is? Let’s analyze and talk about the downfall of imperialism in the first 5 minutes of the first episode. I am here for it.
10. Las Vegas, NV
This is by far the most obnoxious places to visit of the list, but I feel as if it is some odd right of passage to go here. Now that I’m older, I think it would actually be fun or funny to visit with some friends. I’ve seen a lot of bloggers and YouTubers visit Las Vegas just to sit at the pool and sip on fancy cocktails and relax. I’d definitely be down for that!
Okay, there you have it! My travel bucket list is quite diverse and I’ve been thinking a lot about traveling outside of the United States. I’d really like to start saving for my first trip out there. Barcelona is up first, but I’d definitely do the whole Europe extravaganza {Rome, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Greece}. Who’s coming with me? Where’s the next place you want to visit?
keep on keepin’ on,
