On Black Friday, my mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Every single year it gets harder and harder to try and figure out what to ask for. When I was a kid, I could always list a new game or electronic that would be first on my list. As you get older, you start to get excited about things like a new Keurig or a program for your computer that you wouldn’t buy normally.
I also ask for a lot of clothes, shoes, and other accessories too. Today, I’m going to be sharing my Christmas wish list. This year is a little bit weird because I am actually asking my parents to pay for a hefty portion of my spring break trip to LA {yep, I’m headed back!}. But, I know it can be hard to think of ideas of things to ask for no matter how big or how small. I love reading wish lists to get ideas, so I figured I’d make an example list of some of the things that I would ask for. Let’s get into it!
My Christmas Wishlist
So, my secondary disclaimer, ICYMI, is that I’m not actually asking for all of these things. That would be pretty ridiculous. But, I do have a running list of things that I have on my own personal list of things that I would buy for myself. This list usually just gets passed along to my parents.
Airfare and Lodging for Spring Break 2018
I’m planning on taking a trip with my friend Maddy J [you can check out her Youtube channel here] to the City of Angels for Spring Break. I’m so ready to get back on the west coast. I technically have enough funds saved to make this trip happen, but some help from the rents wouldn’t be too shabby!
Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara
Literally, my favorite mascara! I layer it with the Covergirl Lash Blast [aka the OG Youtube mascara] and it makes my lashes look SO long.
Over the Knee Boots
Fun fact: I already bought these boots from Target in Taupe, but I’d love the black ones that aren’t heeled. I plan so many outfits in my head that would look so good with black ones.
Starbucks/Dunkin Gift Cards
I survive only within my daily coffee; I promise that I’m trying to stop! It just tastes so good and I can’t make myself drink decaf because what would even be the point. Ever since they built a Dunkin’ Donuts in Chapel Hill, I find myself there way more than Starbucks.
Ring Light
One of my goals for the 2018 year is to improve my indoor photography skills. My apartment has incredibly crappy natural lighting sources and so I want to invest in some artificial lighting for lifestyle shoots for cooking and decorating. I also might start dabbling in Youtube in the spring/summer. We’ll see what happens though.
NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Lens
I opted for the 35mm lens because it acts more like a 50mm on my crop sensor camera, but I love that lens so much that I’d love to get my hands on a 50 mm for some stunning portrait shots. I love that these staple lenses are relatively cheap. I’m saving up for a low aperture zoom lens, but until I can afford to drop 1k; I’ll go with these wonder lenses for 1/5th of the price.
Bath and Body Works 3-Wick Candles
Champagne Toast and Peach Bellini are my favorite. National Candle Day was a couple days ago and I didn’t buy a single one because I always ask for a candle. So proud of my self-restraint.
Phone Case
I’ve had my basic marble case for a couple months now and would love to change it up! The ones from Casetify are amazing!
Square Prints
I have a cork board in my room that is horribly bare and I think a square Instagram collage would be the perfect way to spice it up!
Mantra Band
I love the ” serenity, courage, wisdom” band because the quote behind it has always spoken to me on a deeper level. As someone who has a hard time with being too controlling, it’d be a nice reminder to have on my arm. And, it’s cute; win-win!
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
True Grit Sherpa Pullover
These things look like literal perfection and I would love to eventually get my hands on one. Why is it so expensive?!?! Also, I’m having a hard time picking a color because I want them all. Help me, please!
Okay so, there you have it: My Christmas Wishlist 2017! What are you asking for? Some plane tickets for a future trip or maybe a new phone. Sound off in the comments! I love hearing from Y’all! Also, how are you liking my attempts at Blogmas! It hasn’t been too crazy trying to balance it with my school work which makes me sad because I don’t understand why I struggle so hard during the actual school year. Anyway, Happy Tuesday and happy holiday shopping and wishing!
keep on keepin’ on,
