You know I’m a girl that loves a good leggings, over-sized t-shirts, and nike running shoes outfit. I’m sure we’ve all been there and done that; especially as the semester becomes a little bit harder and sleep becomes even more nonexistent. I’ve been asked quite a bit recently where I get all my clothes that are cute AND comfy. As someone who values texture and fabric “softness” almost equally to visual appeal, I think I’ve got expert status in this department. Here are some of my favorite stores to pick up comfy & cute clothing and some looks I’ve styled with pieces from my own collection {because we can all pretend to be fashion bloggers every once and awhile}. Also, I’m a college student who makes college student money and that means all of these stores sell affordable {however, I love a good splurge} items!
Old Navy
First store on the list is my literal favorite place to shop! I can walk in here any given Saturday and walk out with probably a new closet’s equivalent worth of stylish, affordable, and comfy clothing. Old Navy is weird because their clothes can start off at a pricier range, but somehow I always end up hitting mad sales and scoring major steals.
I got to do a little pretend online shopping and here are some other pieces that I would most definitely pick up.
CottonOn
Another one of my favorite stores that has amazing deals. You’ve probably seen one of my many t-shirt and sneaker outfits on Instagram or twitter. Almost every single dress is probably from CottonOn; it’s my go to for effortlessly cute dresses and flowy tops. Everything is so so so soft and v. comfy! My look here is one of my favorites on a late day or for running errands on the weekend!
Here are some of my other picks from the site!
Forever 21
This used to be my go to store but I honestly tend to gravitate towards well made, quality pieces over trendy and cheaper things now– my college wallet hates me for this sometimes. Forever 21 has some pretty nice staples, but you have to DIG deeper and if you are the shopper ready to quit after 30 minutes I’d probably skip this one. I love love love the items that I have from here and the leggings are super duper cheap and super comfy!
J Crew Factory
One of my life goals is to be able to shop in J. Crew with no sales and not even flinch before swiping my debit card. UNTIL THEN, I’ll just be shopping at one of my favorite outlet destinations: J. Crew Factory. I love this store because there is also an online version which super helpful for when I’m not incredibly close to the outlets aka the entire school year. I mean I guess I should be thankful that I’m not tempted to continuously purchase things–like yet another vest— LOL. Oh, and the vest is back in black and all is right in the world.
Nordstrom Rack
Nordstrom Rack is a once a season type of store because otherwise I would have no money, like ever. I love love love to go here to buy things I know I’m going to get. Sneakers? I check here first. A new high quality v. neck? HERE OF COURSE. Perfume? Did you really need to ask? Nordstrom Rack is my favorite. End of story. I’ve never really used the website before, but I’d give it a try if I needed too.
Target
Target is probably one of the most dangerous places to shop for me because I can find so many cute, affordable, and comfy clothes like 10 minutes from wherever I’m living. I think we all know how dangerous Target is and let’s just thank our lucky stars that their website isn’t the best for clothing shopping because then it would be 100x worse. Mossimo, Xhiliration, and Merona always have quality pieces with trendy elements for a fraction of the cost. 10/10 would recommend.
