This weekend was pretty chill. We got to explore some new areas of the city and I got to eat brunch. It was a winning weekend for me I would say. I was going to throw two weekends in one post because I didn’t think one weekend would make a long enough post, but it did! My second weekend in Houston started a little bit late, because as you all probably can tell by now: THE SWIRL GOT AN UPGRADE. I spent most of Saturday morning {while everyone was sleeping} transferring over posts and designing our new social media headers and touching up our media kit. Would anyone be interested in a post on media kits? Let me know in the comments!
And then I got a text message. One of my friends wanted to go to the The Galleria Mall in Houston and I slowly died inside because pay day wasn’t until next week. But, I always love a good window shopping opportunity. I ended up getting a super cute romper which I’m literally obsessed with!!
I fan girled over the store layout of H&M and snapped some nice pictures for you guys of this adorable sign and shoe wall. I’m not lying when I say I ran past the MAC store so that I would not be tempted. We ate a quick dinner and then headed over to Nordstrom Rack which is my favorite store of all time. I picked up the most adorable gold Greek Letter charms {good big-little gift, but even better for yourself gift}. Now, I just need a chain that I like!

So, I really wanted brunch. Typical. But, by the time everyone was ready to go; we had missed the breakfast menu at Barnaby’s Cafe in the Museum District. It was okay for me because I was in a lunch kind of mood anyway. I got the Chicken Caesar Salad {you’ll see this is a go-to for me} and I split an order of Sweet Potato Fries–both of which were super tasty!
The metro has been a great way for us to explore Midtown, but I liked that we got a chance to walk a little bit from the metro station to the restaurant! We got a little taste of the Museum District which was a good way to pick up some new ideas for Museum day that we want to have in a couple of weeks!
I’m very excited to actually have breakfast, maybe next weekend. And maybe, I’ll even learn how to two-step ?! Until next weekend,
