Hey y’all! This past Saturday my roommate and I spent a solid six hours at IKEA picking out furniture for our new apartment. I can’t wait to share this IKEA haul with you guys! We got some really cute and functional pieces that I know will serve us well in our new home.
I’ll try to link everything where I can, but some stuff might not be online because, ya know, IKEA is an endless pit of little trinkets and stuff. Let’s get to it!
IKEA Haul
Bedroom
House plants and succulents just bring so much life to a room, so I snagged two plants and these cute little gold pots to go with them. I haven’t planted them yet (whoops) but I’m hoping they’re easy to keep alive cause ya girl does not have a green thumb.
I also picked up my (second) favorite piece of the afternoon—this super trendy gold task lamp. Sadly, both table lamps I ordered from Target came broken, so I was so excited to add this baby to our IKEA haul.
Next, I needed something for this little nook in my room, so I picked up this leaning shelf that I’m going to use for cute little trinkets and blanket storage. And candles, always candles.
This gem thing was a gift from my aunt, but the grass and gold pot are from IKEA! The grass is fake, so I know at least this plant will survive??
And finally, I picked up a cozy grey blanket to add a little ~something something~ to my white duvet.
Living Room
For the living room, we purchased a coffee table, end table, and dining room set. Unfortunately, we messed up the table trying to put it together. SO, that’ll be coming to the blog soon once we get a replacement top. You can peep some of the parts against the back wall LOL.
In the meantime, we put together this 2-tier coffee table which is the perfect place to put our feet up or play some games with friends.
This small white side table that sits between the couches actually comes apart, so we can take the tray on top and move it wherever we need it (aka it’s a snack tray when we watch movies!!).
We also got this super soft blue throw for the couch to add a pop of color and warmth to the space.
Once we get a dining room table, we can use this adorable napkin holder and printed napkins! The napkins don’t really match anything, but hey, they were 99 cents so ya know I threw them in the bag.
Kitchen
Our IKEA haul included a bunch of kitchenware that I didn’t feel like photographing. Unless you want to see a picture of spatulas and kitchen scissors. I don’t know.
Anyways, our big kitchen purchase was this cute blue three-tier shelf on casters. We don’t have a ton of cabinet space, so we decided this cart would be perfect for spices/condiments, coffee and tea, and all of our salty snacks.
Bar shelves
I’m dedicating a whole section to these bar shelves because they are just TOO CUTE!! We were going to get a bar cart on wheels, but since we had this whole wall free, we decided to do standing shelves instead.
I only put together one unit for the photo, but we have an identical unit that we’re putting next to this one for even more glassware/trinket storage space.
I’m just obsessed with how aesthetic they look! Our champagne and margarita glasses are also from IKEA, as is the fun gold tray. The other shelf will house our wine glasses and probably some more fun coffee table books and Trader Joe’s flowers.
