Planning for Planners Part 2: The Lilly Pulitzer Agenda

First Thoughts Lilly Pulitzer Agenda

As I mentioned in my last post (My Erin Condren Life Planner Review), I ended up getting two planners this year: one for school and one for the blog. After deciding on the Erin Condren for my school planner, I had to choose a planner for the blog!

Because I wasn’t using the blog planner for school, I didn’t feel the need to purchase a planner with a ton of organization and extra frills, because I mainly just need a place to write down blog ideas and my daily to-do list. However, I still needed my planner to be colorful and durable, just like my Erin Condren Life Planner!

In the end, I decided to get a classic Lilly Pulitzer agenda in “All Nighter” (perfect title for a college student, right? 🙂 ) Keep scrolling for pictures and initial thoughts about this fun & funky planner!

The Unboxing

I’m just going to start off first by saying that I LOVE Lilly Pulitzer prints! They are all so cheerful and really brighten your day, which I think is perfect for a planner. Even though I’m not a huge fan of pink, I fell in love with this planner because of the flamingoes hidden in the pattern!

When you open the planner, there’s a page with a pocket for storage and a “#Resort365” page with some cute quotes. This page doesn’t really serve any purpose, but it’s colorful and bright so I don’t have a problem with it!

The next page includes some really fun stickers, including some themed ones (birthdays, halloween, etc) and some fun ones (palm trees, bicycles, elephants). Following the sticker page is a map of Palm Beach, which isn’t really functional either but is still fun to flip through.

Following the intro pages are small monthly overviews of 2016 + 2017, and then 2-page individual monthly overviews from August ’15 – December ’16, where you can write large scale plans like vacations that may cover more than a day or two. Of course, each month has it’s own signature Lilly print that matches the weekly layouts in the back!

Following the monthly overviews are a few handy pages like Dates to Remember, an address book, and even a travel itinerary for your next adventure!

The next 18 tabs are the monthly sections divided by weeks. At the beginning of each month there is a cute quote, and then another monthly overview (yeah, two monthly spreads for each month!) before the month is divided into weeks. The weekly overview provides a horizontal layout for each day, perfect for writing down notes or a to-do list!

The Bottom Line

This planner is awesome! As someone who has never owned a Lilly planner before, I can definitely see why many people buy these planners year after year! Flipping through the planner just makes me feel happy, and has just enough space for me to write down everything that’s going on with the blog!

The only thing I don’t like about the agenda is all the extra pages, like the travel itinerary and the #Resort365 page. Although these pages are really bright and colorful, they seem kind of excessive to me and don’t really aid in the function of the planner. I also wish that there were a few more cover options, especially with all the prints that Lilly consistently comes out with (there are around 8 cover prints this season).

With that being said, I would definitely recommend this planner to anyone looking for a fun school planner that will keep them smiling throughout the year!

Make sure to check out all of the Lilly Pulitzer agenda prints (there’s so many to choose from it’s hard to pick just one!). The planner shown above is in “All Nighter” which is a 2015 print, but they come out with tons of adorable prints every year!
